DESCRIPTION

VarroxSan – Natural Varroa Mite Treatment with Slow-Release Oxalic Acid Strips

VarroxSan is a natural solution designed to control varroa mite populations in honey bee colonies. Each 60 pack can treat between 15 and 30 hives. The 20 pack can treat between 5 and 10 colonies.

Utilizing slow-release strips, VarroxSan ensures a sustained and controlled release of oxalic acid, providing an effective treatment against varroa mites while being safe for bees, brood, and queens year-round. Based on independent research from US and international programs, Varroxsan can be used to keep varroa mite levels low and as a knock down treatment in the summer.

Usage Instructions

Use up to 4 VarroxSan™ strips in a brood chamber, placing them between brood frames. Ensure the bees can walk on the strips. Leave the strips inside the hive for 42 to 56 days, then remove. If after 42 days bees aren’t in contact with the strips, reposition closer to the cluster. Strips must be removed after 56 days.

For colonies in double brood boxes, place four strips in the lower chamber and up to 2 additional strips in the upper chamber. For medium-frame brood chambers, use half the dose. For two medium boxes stacked together, treat this as 1 deep box.

Detailed Description

VarroxSan is made from oxalic acid dihydrate (18.42%) and delivered in convenient slow-release strips. The fiberboard strips are designed for easy application, and each pack contains 60 strips, treating 15-30 hives. VarroxSan is a long-lasting, natural solution for varroa mite control, with each treatment lasting 42 to 56 days. It works best in the summer and autumn, though it can be used year-round under the right conditions.

The slow-release mechanism ensures a controlled distribution of oxalic acid, reducing the need for repeated treatments. Ideal for use during low honey flow periods, VarroxSan allows beekeepers to maintain hive health without worrying about environmental impact.

Great product- not sealable

I would give it 5 stars but I can’t seal the package! If you don’t have 20+ hives- this amount is too many

Very Hopeful Product

Put these in my hives before my surgery, during a Fall/new queen mite infestation and the following days the mite drop was huge. Saved my hives. Two months later, hives appear fairly strong with no DWV and hope for Springtime. Sometimes you just can’t keep up like you should but these strips will make it much easier to continue beekeeping at my advanced age.
