Uncapping Scratcher with Wood Handle

$12.99 USD

The wooden handle has a classic round shape and stainless steel tines for removing capping from the honey comb.

It is used when harvesting honey regardless of whether you have one hive or 10,000. The hard-to-replace tool is needed to remove cappings from honey frames before extracting.

The multiple tines are used to pick at cappings to expose the delicious honey underneath each capping, essential when extracting honey from frames. Even when using a knife or other uncapping toolthese scratchers are essential for opening the cappings other tools can't get to.

Capping scratchers can also be used to break open drone cells to disrupt the varroa reproduction life cycle or to inspect growing drones for varroa mites.
