We are combining these two magical flavor profiles into one and presenting to you our Bourbon Barrel Aged Local Honey. We take our already delicious Alabama honey and age it with a recently dumped bourbon barrel, still wet with whiskey. Two southern favorites combined to make a one-of-a-kind delicious sweet.
Once the honey has picked up the whiskey flavor and a little char from the barrel, we bottle it to keep that flavor pure. Each jar contains its own little piece of bourbon barrel for further flavor development.
How to use this unique honey is up to you, but we love to use it to finish our grilled vegetables or meats, flavor cocktails, hand-made pizza, or even just drizzle it over ice cream. If you love cheese platters, our Bourbon Barrel Aged Honey is an excellent pairing for savory soft cheeses.
Each bottle contains 12 oz (340 gr) of honey and an authentic, charred bourbon barrel.
